Pumpkin Koko-Spiced Smoothie
With basic bitch season in full swing, I can’t help but crave all pumpkin everything. Cozy candles, warm coffee, and my Aunt Joyce’s legendary pie — you name it, I’m about it.
I mean, I even bought a pumpkin lotion to rub all over my body with the hopes some dude will smell it and feel the urge to cuddle the shit out of me. So really, are you even surprised that I’ve blended up the most epic pumpkin smoothie to sip on all season long?
But trust me when I say, this pumpkin spice pick-me up is far from basic, thanks to my secret island ingredient.
Named after Kauai’s most infamous surf break, Wai Koko stays true to the Hawaiian culture by keeping the islands hydrated with the freshest coconut water around.
From the ancient Polynesians who used it to replenish while on their demanding voyages, to the modern-day adventurers endlessly exploring the world, this “all natural sports drink” remains the local drink of choice to islanders everywhere.
Meaning, if it’s good enough for Moana, it’s good enough for me.
Coconut water is pretty much an organic Gatorade, packed with essential nutrients and electrolytes to help keep your body feeling healthy and energized. It improves muscle mobility, increases endurance, and boosts brain power, making it my favorite base ingredient for any post workout smoothie.
By now you are probably thinking, “Coconut water and pumpkin? Ew.” But hear me out, because that’s where the Wai Koko comes into play.
When I discovered their Kona Mocha flavor, (that’s right, coffee coconut water) I was inspired to crate a tasty little treat that would leave me feeling energized and healthy all day long.
So try skipping the Starbucks this season and get your pumpkin fix with this fall inspired smoothie.

You guys, it's almost as good as my Aunt Joyce's pumpkin pie (...almost).
I topped mine with crumbled graham crackers, toasted coconut, and a drizzle of honey.
See, this isn't your basic PSL and it's all thanks to my small kine island ingredient.
